In the mid-16th century, the Spanish and Portuguese were the primary European countries to beat America, and their conquest wasn't the result of any typical military weapons or military power. However, they used germs of diseases, i.e., smallpox, as a result of yanking somebody who doesn't have any immunity against this smallpox.
