Detailed Solution

World War 2 was the start of the atomic bomb culture. It lasted from 1939 through 1945. There were 100 million participants from more than 30 nations.
Tens of millions perished due to genocidal acts (such as the Holocaust), planned starvation, murders, and disease. Two hundred ten thousand people—children, women, and men—died when the United States dropped two atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945.
President Truman approved the use of atomic bombs to hasten Japan's surrender in the Second World War. Japan gave up in the days following the bombs.
