Detailed Solution

Iltutmish was the successor of Qutubuddin Aibak. Iltutmish, also known as Shams al-Din Iltutmish, was the most potent sultan of the Slave dynasty in Delhi. Iltutmish was bought as a slave, although he later married Qutbuddin Aibak's daughter, who he succeeded in 1211. He shifted the capital to Delhi, where he finished building Qutub Minar, the excellent victory tower, and fortified and grew the Muslim kingdom in northern India. Iltutmish created a brand-new ruling elite, the Chalisa or the Forty, which was composed of his Turkish slaves. He also created the Iqta system, which was a land assignment system.
