Detailed Solution

Bankim Chandra Chatterjee was the writer of the novel 'Anandamath'. When individuals begin to believe that they are all members of the same nation, when they discover some connection that links them together, nationalism flourishes. The emergence of nationalism was influenced by history, literature, folklore, music, popular art, and symbols. A figure or image frequently represents the nation's identity. This contributes to creating an image with which people may identify the country. With the rise of nationalism in the twentieth century, India's identity became visually identified with the image of Bharat Mata. Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay(Also Chatterjee) created the image originally. In the 1870s, he composed 'Vande Mataram' as a patriotic anthem. Later, it was featured in his novel Anandamath and was extensively sung during Bengal's Swadeshi movement.
