Throughout the years, the military of the Mughal Empire utilised a wide range of weaponry in its conquests, including different kinds of swords, bows, and arrows, horses, camels, elephants, and cannons. In the 14th century, gunpowder technology was introduced to India for use in battle. Babur used firearms for the first time in the early 16th century in places like Gujarat, Malwa, and the Deccan. The use of cannons in battle throughout the sixteenth century was crucial. They were efficiently deployed by Babur in the First Battle of Panipat.
