Detailed Solution

Chapbooks were pocket-sized books distributed by Chapman.
Pocket-sized books that are sold by travelling salespeople known as chapmen are known as chapbooks. Booksellers recruited peddlers to wander through the villages selling little volumes. But other kinds of reading material, primarily meant for amusement, started to get to regular readers as well. Penny chapbooks were sold for one penny in England by small peddlers called chapmen, making them affordable for even the most disadvantaged. Since the printing revolution of the sixteenth century, these chapbooks have grown in popularity.
