Detailed Solution

Constantan wire is used in making standard resistance coils
An alloy of copper (Cu) and nickel is called constantan (Ni). Standard resistance coils are
made from alloys like manganin and constantan because of their high resistivity and
low-temperature coefficient of resistance. As a result, these alloys are used to create standard
resistors that are wire-bound. Little would change in their resistance value as a result of
temperature.
