Detailed Solution

Jyotiba Phule wrote a book named Gulamgiri. Jyotiba Phule had his own opinions regarding the inequalities of caste society. He claimed that Brahmans—Aryans regarded as foreigners—came from beyond the subcontinent, overcame the people who had lived before the Aryans arrived, and then subjugated them. According to Phule, the upper castes had no legal claim to their wealth and position. Phule published a novel in 1873 called Gulamgiri, which is Hindi for slavery. The American Civil War resulted in the abolition of slavery in America ten years before this. He dedicated his book to all the Americans who had fought to free slaves. However, the hardship of enslaved peopler-caste ladies, labourers' suffering, and the lower castes' denigration all disturbed Phule.
