Detailed Solution

Dadabhai Naoroji wrote Poverty and Un-British rule in India.
Dadabhai was a prominent Indian National Congress leader. He researched the colonial-era wealth transfer from India to England. The "drain of wealth" theory, advanced by Dadabhai Naoroji in 1867, claimed that Britain was fully draining India of its resources. One of the reasons the drain theory is credited to Naoroji is because he decided to calculate India's net national profit and, as a result, the effects of colonisation on the country. Dadabhai utilised his understanding of economics to look for proof that Britain was taking money out of India.
