Detailed Solution

CaO2.7 + SO20.5  CaSO3

SO2 is limiting reagent

moles of CaSO3=0.5

Now,

1 mole of SO2 is required to make 1 mole of CaSO3.

So,0.5 of SO2 is required to make 0.5 moles of CaSO3.

Therefore, mass of CaSO3 produce= no. of moles of CaSO3 × its molecular mass

=0.5×120  = 60g

Therefore, the correct option is (D).
