Detailed Solution

A water pump raises 50 kg of water through a height of 25 m in 5 s. 2500 W is the power which the pump supplies.
Given,
Mass of water  = 50 kg
Height = 25 m
Time = 5 s
So, force   = m × g
                 = 50 × 10
      force     = 500 N
Work done= Force × displacement
Here   the value of  displacement given is 10 m
So,           W = 500 N × 25 m
            W = 12500 J
And we know that
     power P = WT
              P = 125005
                 P   = 2500 W               Thus, the power supplied by the pump is 2500 W.
