They allowed non-tribal merchants, paper mills, etc., to exploit the tribal land. Forests were cleared to build sanctuaries, and Adivasis were forcibly evicted. She pointed out the lack of rehabilitation measures and compensation afforded for dispossessing tribals of their land.
