Detailed Solution

Hindu Mahila Vidyalaya was one of the first institutions to provide girls with the kind of learning that was usual for boys at that time. Many people were concerned that the first school would pull the girls away from home and prohibit them from performing domestic tasks when it opened in the middle of the 19th century. In addition, many people thought girls should be kept out of public areas because they could come into contact with corrupting influences. The Hindu Mahila Vidyalaya was one of the first educational facilities to offer girls the type of education that was customary for boys at the time. In Entally, Kolkata, India, at 22 Beniapukur Lane, there was an all-female boarding school. Annette Akroyd, a British translator, started it. However, the school was shut down in March 1876 following Annette Akroyd's marriage.
