Pandit Nehru was the president of the Lahore session. Nehru presided over the Congress convention, which got underway in Lahore in December 1929. In this session, he stated that there is only one objective left for us to achieve: complete freedom. On December 19, 1929, the INC spread the message of Purna Swaraj for complete independence. On December 31, 1929, at midnight, in front of a sizable crowd, Congress adopted a resolution for Purna Swaraj, and the Congress President also raised the flag of complete independence.
