${\left(\text{edges}\right)}^3=64={\left(4\right)}^3$

Edges $=4$

If cubes are joined end to end, the dimensions of the resulting cuboid will be 4cm, 4cm, 8cm

Surface area of cuboids$=2(lb+bh+hl)=2(4\times 4+4\times 8+4\times 8)$

$=2(16+32+32)=2\left(80\right)$

$=160{\text{cm}}^2$
