Let first part = x
then second part = 24 – x  (∵ Sum = 24)
According to the condition,
7x+5(24−x)=146
⇒ 7x+120−5x=146
⇒ 2x=146−120=26
⇒ x = 262 = 13
∴ First part = 13 and second part = 24 - 13 = 11
Hence, Option (3) is the correct answer.
