25 students can do a job in 12 days
i.e., 1 student can do a job in 12×25=300 days
If 5 students are not coming on the starting day,
Then 20 students can do a job in

\frac{300}{20}

=15 days
Hence, it will require 15 days to complete a job by 20 students. Increased number of days are 15-12 = 3 days.
Our required fraction is

\frac{Increased number of days}{Number of days in which 25 students do work} = \frac{3}{12} = \frac{1}{4} .

Hence,

\frac{1}{4}

is our required answer.
