Detailed Solution

The oxidation states are as:

Cu2O(S)+1+Cul2S(S)6Cu(S)+SO2( g)+4-2

Copper is reduced from +1 state to zero.

Sulphur is oxidised from -2 to -4.

Cu2Ohelps sulphur in Cu2 S to increase its oxidation number, hence Cu (I) is an oxidant and sulphur  of Cu2 S helps copper both in Cu2 S and Cu2O to decrease its oxidation number, hence S of Cu2 S is a reductant. And the given reaction is a redox reaction
