Let m kg be the mass of ice melted into water. Heat lost by 5 kg of water =5kg×1kcal/kg/C×20C=100 kcal. Heat gained =mkg×80kcal/kg+2kg×0.5kcal/ kg/C×20C=80mcal+20kcal Now, heat gained = heat lost. Therefore,
