Detailed Solution

The five d-orbitals are dxy,dyz,dzx,dx2−y2,dZ2

It is clear that dZ2-orbital has one lobe along z-axis and donut-shaped electron cloud perpendicular to it in xy plane, while all other d-orbitals have two dumb-bells either along the axis (dx2−y2,dZ2) or in between the axis (dxy, dyz, dzx)

The ${{d}_{{{x}^{2}}-{{y}^{2}}}}$ and ${{d}_{{{z}^{2}}}}$ orbitals are directed along with a set of mutually perpendicular x,y, and z-axis and are called ${{e}_{g}}$ orbitals. If true enter 1, or else enter 0.
