The major social groups are the Dutch speaking who live in the Flemish region and constitute around 59% of the total population. Flemish region is in the norther part of Belgium where it is bordered by Netherlands. The French speaking who live in the Wallonia region constitute around 40% and the German speaking people are only 1% who live in the eastern part of the country.
