Detailed Solution

The wind direction is found using wind vanes.
Wind waves move towards the flow direction of air and can be used to find the direction of the wind. Wind vans are among the most common weather devices, especially if you live on a farm or in a rural location. Traditionally, farmers used these devices to anticipate the weather. A wind vane is an instrument that rotates in the direction of the origin of wind. The most basic type is made up of a vertical rod. This has a pointer on one end and a propeller blade on the other. Four stationary bars project from this rod to represent the compass directions. Wind will cause the propeller blade to spin in the opposite direction, causing the pointer to return to its original position.
