Concept: The Father of Geometry is often referred to as 300 BC, also known as Euclid of Alexandria. He was a Greek mathematician who was active in Alexandria during the reign of Ptolemy I (323 BC–283 BC). His Elements is the most successful mathematics textbook in history. It deduces the principles of what is now known as Euclidean geometry from a small set of axioms. Euclid also wrote about perspective, conic sections, spherical geometry, and rigor.
