A stethoscope is used for hearing sounds produced within the body.
The stethoscope is made of a disc and a tube and is used to hear the sound produced by human body parts such as the lungs and heart. When the disc is close to a body part, the body's vibrations are transferred to the disc, channelling the vibration to the attached tube. The sound waves are reflected multiple times inside the tube before reaching the rubber nubs at the end and finally to the eardrums of the listener.
