Given that, the height of the flagstaff is 10  m, θ= 30 °  and α= 60 °  .
We can calculate the angle of elevation by the formula tanθ= height base  
We draw the schematic diagram,
 Question ImageThe distance BC form the triangle ΔBCD   ,
tan 30 ° = DC BC 1 3 = DC BC [tan 30 ° = 1 3 ] BC= 3 DC......(i)  
The distance DC form the triangle ΔABC  ,
tan 60 ° = AD+DC BC 3 = 10+DC BC [tan 60 ° = 3 ] DC= 3 BC10......(ii)  
Substituting the value of BC from the equation (i) in equation (ii),
DC= 3 3 DC 10 DC 13 =10 DC=5m   Thus, the height of the tower will be 5  m.
Therefore the correct option is 2.
