According to the question we draw the figure,

Let the inner rectangle represents the park and area outside that represents the path.

Area of park = Length $\times$ Breadth

= 125 $\times$ 65

= 8125 m²

Now, The length of the garden including path = 125 $+$ 3 $+$ 3 = 131 m

 The breadth of the garden including path = 65 $+$ 3 $+$ 3 = 71 m

Area of the park including the path = Length $\times$ Breadth

= 131 $\times$ 71

= 9301 m²

Thus,

Area of the path = Area of the park including path - Area of the park 

= 9301 - 8125

= 1176 m²
