Area of park without the path is,

= 125 m × 65 m = 8, 125 m 2

Length of park after the path is included
=125+3+3m
= 131 m
Breadth of park after the path is included
= 65 + 3 + 3
= 71 m
Area of park after the path is included,

= 131 m × 71 m = 9, 301 m 2

Area of the path = area of park with path - area of park earlier

= 9, 301 m 2 − 8, 125 m 2 = 1, 176 m 2
