A :An optical medium which has uniform composition is called heterogeneous medium.

B : An optical medium which has different compositions at different points is called heterogeneous medium

When the physical properties of the medium are same everywhere, it is known as homogenous medium. The medium in which the physical properties are different at different parts is known as heterogeneous medium
