i)    P(A  does not occur) = P(A¯)=1P(A)=112=12

ii) P( neither A nor Boccur)  =P(A¯B¯)

=P(AB¯)=1P(AB)

=1[P(A)+P(B)P(AB)]=1(0.5+0.40.3)

=10.6=0.4
