0.18 mole of  AB2 weighs 10.6 g

1 mole of AB2 weights 1×0.60.18=58.88g

0.18 mole of A2B3 weighs 17.8 g

1 mole  A2B3 weighs 1×17.80.18=98.88g 

AB2:x+2y=58.88g....(1)

A2B3:2x+3y=98.88g.....(2)

1×2      2x+4y=117.76

2           3x+3y=98.88            

                            y=18.88g         

    Atomic mass of B = 18.88 g/ mol

Atomic mass of A = x + 2 (18.88) = 58.88

                                       x = 58.88 – 37.76 = 21.12 g/mol
