Given is a bag with 18 balls out of which some are red. And 2 red balls are added to the bag.
In the bag, there is a total of (x + 2) red balls.
The probability of drawing a red ball after 2 balls are added =

\frac{x + 2}{20}

.
Therefore,

probability of drawing the red ball = 98 × x 18

⇒ x + 2 20 = 98 x 18 ⇒ x + 2 20 = x 16 ⇒ 4 x = 32 ⇒ x = 8
