Given:
Initial velocity, u= 0 m/s 
Distance traveled, s= 20 m
Acceleration,a=10 m/s2
Final velocity, =v
Time taken, t = ?
From the third equation of motion 
v2= u2+2as
   = 02+2×10×20
     =400
v2= 400
 v= 400
 v=20 m/s
Now, from the first  equation of motion
v = u + at        

20= 0 ×10×t
   t=2010
Or,   t =2 s
So, the ball will strike the ground with velocity 20 m/s  after 2 seconds.
