Vertical component of normal reaction balances the weight of the ball .

So N  cos θ = mg

Also acceleration of the ball is v2r and it is horizontal .Component of this acceleration along the curved surface of the cone = v2r cos θ .

Resultant force acting on the ball along the curved surface = mg sin θ.

Therefore , m×v2rcos θ = mg sin θ v2rcos θ = g sin θ

Also net horizontal force acting on the ball = N sin θ

So N sin θ = mv2r
