Concept- In a circuit, the flow of current will always run counterclockwise to the flow of electrons. As a result, the positive electrode will migrate over to the negative electrode as the internal electric current flows.
The formula for magnitude of current is as follows:
I =  nE r   Where, n = number of identical cells
E = value of EMF
r = resistance of the cell
From the above formula we see that, the magnitude of current is directly proportional to magnitude of emf and it is also inversely proportional to the resistance.
