Given that a bicycle dealer has ₹ 60000 to invest and when each bicycle is available for ₹ 1000 then the price of a bicycle increases by 25%.
We need to then find the number of bicycle he can purchase with the same sum.
Calculating the cost of cycle if increased by 25 %.

= 1000 + \frac{25}{100} \times 1000

= 1000 + 25 \times 10

= 1000 + 250

= 1250

Assuming that the cycles can be bought are B in number when price is ₹ 1250.
Equate the product of

B

and 1250 with constant (amount to be invested) 60000 and solving for

B

.

B \times 1250 = 60000

B = \frac{60000}{1250}

\Rightarrow B = 48

Therefore, 48 bicycles can be bought.
Hence, the correct option is 1.
