                 = -mω12y         = -mω22y

                         F = F1+F1 = m(ω12+ω22)(-y)       …(i)

If  ω is the new frequency, then

                             F=-mω2y    …(ii)

On comparing equations (i) and (ii),

                     ω2 = ω12+ω22

or                  n2 = n12+n22

and              1T2 = 1T12 + 1T22
