Detailed Solution

Apparent loss of weight will be maximum when the body is immersed in the Glycerin.
When an object is immersed in a liquid, it experiences an upward force which is called buoyant force or upthrust. This force is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by the object immersed in it. This upthrust is also called apparent weight loss of the object. As the weight of the displaced liquid is directly proportional to its density. So the upthrust will be more if the density is more. As glycerin has the highest density among the given options, that’s why the apparent loss will be maximum when the body is immersed in glycerin.
