A body is in pure rotation. The linear speed v of the particle, the distance r of the particle from the axis and the angular velocity ω of the body are related as $\mathrm{\omega }=\frac{\mathrm{v}}{\mathrm{r}}$. Thus

The angular velocity of every particle in a pure rotation is constant and independent of the particle's distance from the axis of rotation.

$\mathrm{d\theta }$ is same for all points situated on a radius.
