Planets may have some natural celestial objects revolving around them, and those objects are termed natural satellites. For example, the moon is the natural satellite of the Earth. Artificial satellites are man-made satellites that revolve around the Earth and are not the same as natural satellites. Man-made satellites are launched from the Earth. Man-made satellites revolve around the Earth in a much closer orbit than the moon.
