Detailed Solution

Many kinds of light exist. Additionally, light has wave-like characteristics and moves across the atmosphere. Light is referred to be a ray if there is only one wave present, as opposed to a beam if there are several waves present.
A photon is a different type of light. A large bundle of light rays is a photon. A photon's wavelength changes as it interacts with electrons. A beam of light is a type of light ray that travels as a bundle.
Consequently, a beam of light is a larger collection of light rays.

Three types of light beams are distinguished.
i) Parallel beam

ii) convergent beam, respectively
iii) Divergent beam .
A parallel beam of light is one in which the light rays pass through the medium parallel to one another.
A light beam is said to be convergent if it comes to a point after traveling a certain distance across the medium.
A beam of light is said to be diverging if it expands away from its source after traveling a certain distance.

Hence, the correct answer is option A.
