Let the height of bucket = h cm
Question ImageFrom the question, we have  Radius of top circular end( r1)=20 cm
Radius of bottom circular end( r2)=12 cm
Capacity of the bucket =12308.8 cm3
As we know that,
Volume of frustum cone =13πr12+r22+r1r2h

=13π202+122+20×12h=784πh3 cm3 According to question,
784π h3=12308.8
h=12308.8×3784×3.14=15 cm height of the bucket (h)=15 cm
Let the slant height of bucket = l cm
     l2=r1-r22+h2
l=r1-r22+h2 l=20-122+152=289 =17 cm Curved surface area = πr1+r2l+πr22
   =3.14×(20+12)17+3.14×122
      =3.14×(9248+144)=2160.32 cm3
Hence, the height of the bucket and the area of the metal sheet are 15 cm and 2160.32 cm3 respectively.
