A car covers a certain distance in 1 hr 30 minutes at 60 km/h. If it moves at 45 km/h, it will take 2 hours.
Given,
A car covers a certain distance in 1 hr 30 minutes at 60 km/ h.
Convert the time into hour,
1 hr = 60 min
1 hr 30 min = (1+0.5) min = 1.5 hr
Consider the time taken by the car traveling at 45 km/h be x hr.
Then,

Speed (in km/h)

60

45

Time (in hr)

1.5

x

As this is case of inverse proportion, therefore the product will remain constant throughout table that is,
60×1.5=45×x  
Dividing both sides by 45,
x= 90 45  
x=2   Hence, the time taken by car is 2 hours.
