Given,
The car is converting a distance = 170 km
And time taken = 2 hours
It is known that,
Time = distance / speed
Suppose x miles are travelled at a speed of 50 km/h, and 170 miles are travelled at a speed of 100 km/h.
So,

\frac{x}{100} + \frac{(170 - x)}{50} = 2

\frac{x + 2 (170 - x)}{100} = 2

x + 240 - 2 x = 200

x = 140 km

So, distance travelled at the speed of 50 km/h
= (170−140) km
= 30 km
Thus, the correct option is 3.
