Concept: First, take a variable, such as  the number of men who went to the hotel. Given the total amount of invoices paid, then apply the conditions to get the equation.
Solving the equation will give you the number of men who went to the hotel.
A certain number of men went to the hotel and each one spent as much  rupees as a quarter of  men.
Let the number of men visiting hotel be x
Money spent by one man = 14x
Total bill =20449
x×14x=20,449
x2=81796
x=286 men.
Hence, option 3 is correct.
