A company sells its product for $\text{ ₹ }$ 20 per unit. Fixed costs for the company is $\text{ ₹ }$ 45,000 and variable costs is estimated to run 25% of total revenue. If x denotes number of units produced, then what will be the total cost function?

A company sells its product for $\text{ ₹ }$ 20 per unit.

Fixed costs for the company = $\text{ ₹ }$ 45,000 

Variable costs is estimated to run 25% of total revenue. 

x = number of units produced, 

So, the revenue,

$R\left(x\right)=20x$

Now variable cost,

$$\begin{gathered} =(25/100)R\left(x\right) \\ =(25/100)20x \\ =5x \end{gathered}$$

Now, the total cost function,

$=45000+5x$
