Detailed Solution

No. of toys = 250, Cost of each toy = Rs 10
Total cost price = 250 × 10 = Rs 2500
12 of them were discarded so, only (250-12) = 238 were sold at a rate of Rs 12 per toy.
Total selling price = 238 × 12 = Rs 2856.

Total selling price > Total Cost price

Profit = Total selling price - Total Cost price
Profit = Rs 2856 - Rs 2500 = Rs 356.

Profit%=ProfitCost price×100

Profit%=3562500×100

Profit%=14.24%
