Detailed Solution

Given that a die has six faces marked 0, 1, 1, 1, 6, 6.
Let us assume that n(S) is the total number of events in the sample space and n(A) is the number of favorable outcomes.
Obtaining the total sample space on tossing two dice. So,
n S = 6 2 n S =36
Number of favorable outcomes are, (0,0), (0,1), (0,6), (1,0), (1,1), (1,6), (6,0), (6,1) and (6,6).
There are six scores possible for the sum of the outcomes on the two dice, and the possible scores are 0, 1, 2, 7, 6 and 12.
n(A)=6
Thus, six different scores are possible.
Therefore, 2 is the correct option
