Detailed Solution

(a) In-situ conservation is the conservation of flora and fauna in their natural habitat. For example, National parks, biosphere reserves, wildlife sanctuaries.
Ex-situ conservation is the conservation of flora and fauna outside of their natural habitat. For example, Botanical gardens, zoological parks, seed banks, tissue culture, cryopreservation, etc. Ex-situ conservation is carried out in man-made ecosystems. Endangered species are protected in the absence of natural predators.

(c) Aquarium, gene banks and home gardens are all examples of ex-situ conservation.
