Sustained high fever (390C  to 400C), weakness, stomach pain, constipation, headache and loss of appetite are some of the common symptoms of typhoid fever. Intestinal perforation and death may occur in severe cases. Fever, chills, cough, and headache, and fluid-filled alveoli are the symptoms of pneumonia.
