Number of women = 15% of total workers = 15% of 500 = 75
∴ Number of women workers = 75
Let ‘w’ be the number of women hired.
Total workers in the factory after hire = 500 + 50 = 550.
∴ Total number of women after hire = 75 +w

\frac{number of women after hire}{total workers after hire} = 20 %

\Rightarrow \frac{75 + w}{550} = \frac{20}{100}

\Rightarrow

75 + w = 110

\Rightarrow

w = 35
